Wanted to hit a local onsen ( sorry, no pics) and had a few hours so I went to see something else Minami town is famous for: its turtles!
You see the local beach is where all the loggerhead turtles come to lay their eggs so now it’s a protected beach but right beside downtown Minami. You’ve seen this beach before on TV because of the egg laying. A little odd to see it in real life.
Naturally, of course, it has its own tourist attraction: the turtle museum.
