Temple 65 was the first of two very tall mountain temples I had to deal with. The next was the next day at temple 66 but more on that later.
Surprisingly I found free wifi up at 65, which is strange how sparse it seems to be in Japan.
I made my way from 65 toward a rare minshuku stay (think less awkward b&b stay) in order to prep for my hike to 66. As I did I passed Bangai 16, another small temple but very pretty.
I have included a shot or two from the minshuku. At night fireflies patrol the river behind the minshuku. Unfortunately, it doesn’t photograph well on a camera phone.
