Hard to believe this was less than a half day’s walk from the bustle of Matsuyama. This temple had a very interesting layout. There were 2 gates. The first way down the road from the grounds gate. However, you come back down toward the first gate again to get your book stamped.
There is a small side building filled with rice ladles. I believe this follows a tradition at some temples where childless couples get a ladle from the temple. If the can prepare and eat a meal with it without fighting, they return it to the temple and they will be granted a child.
