Here are some more pics from the same day. This will be part 2 of 3 for just the second day.
Temple 13
This temple was right in downtown Chichibu. It was right next door to a pre-school so it was filled with the sound of playing children.

Temple 14
This temple sat on a lonely little block. A long time ago it was a much larger compound which joined a nearby Shinto shrine that was three-four blocks away.

Temple 15
One of my friends was quite take with the three-triangle symbols as it is the same one used as the Tri-Force in Zelda. Also, they had just received a new gate at this temple and literally had not taken the wrapping off yet.

Temple 16
Set back from the road, this temple had a side shrine made from an old sake barrel and a thatched roof. Also, off to the side was a walking hall where you could see Buddhas representing the 88 temples of Shikoku. It was interesting to see how the same Buddha idea takes so many forms.

Temple 17
Down another long side road was this temple, which I had seen on TV. It too had been seen in the anime Ano Hana. Apparently, cosplayers will visit here but the only sign I saw of it was in people’s wishes.
