Got up extra early for a long day of mostly walking.
Did sneak in a peak at a lively Shinto shrine next to temple 64 where I camped. One really good pic from that.
Ended the day outside Bangai 14. Very quiet and nice. The daishido was in the stamp office literally on the other side of it so it was almost all one room.
The tree was another tree planted by Kukai. It was not carved but provided cures for locals. As you can see, the tree perished but was still actively revered by a few locals in just the short time I was there.
