Got here just as it was closing. I’m sure that I must have been the last person through the stamp office. So, excepting a few monks doing chores, I had this popular temple virtually to myself.
Even quiet it had a wild energy to it. Next to a steep cliff face, this place feels like it was carved into the mountainside although in reality, it’s unlikely much was. The wind was also howling crazily too. Some big chunk of the cliff came crashing down on the main admin building like a meteorite. I was thinking whatever it was must’ve put a hole in the roof. Then I stopped and looked around at the few staff that were there. Nobody had even turned their head or looked up as far as I could tell.
Crazy. Left before the wind got too crazy (as it did later) but still had at least 30 min of this place all to myself. I’m sure it’s even wilder with crowds.
Btw, you can see one ladder leading to something that does look it was carved into the cliff. But with the weather, I decided not to check it out.
