{"id":58,"date":"2013-05-06T04:25:35","date_gmt":"2013-05-06T04:25:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mywifeworksatshaw.ca\/?p=58"},"modified":"2017-03-24T06:29:39","modified_gmt":"2017-03-24T06:29:39","slug":"day-2-shikoku","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mywifeworksatshaw.ca\/?p=58","title":{"rendered":"Day 2 Shikoku"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Day two on the road and some more firsts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First osettai (just candy but still a nice surprise<\/li>\n<li>First blister (I&#8217;ll spare you photos)<\/li>\n<li>First ten temples done*<\/li>\n<li>First fruit since I landed (clif bars were becoming meals there for a bit) Man did a banana hit the spot!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Would have got 11 temples but I arrived half an hour late. Happenstance took me to a very nice ryokan (Japanese style hotel) where I&#8217;m writing this.<\/p>\n<p>No Internet yet so please bear with, you&#8217;re going to be reading this after the fact.<\/p>\n<p>One thing I&#8217;ve learned quick is that if you don&#8217;t watch the poles, you get lost quick, even with a map. The reason is that whereas the trail is actually well marked. It&#8217;s well marked with small stickers with all kinds of designs on them.
