I hear many people think that once they reach here they think the hard part is done and they know that they can finish now. That feeling though came to me at Temple 40 though.<\/p>\n<p>As I mentioned, mileage wise it&#8217;s halfway and that was a big part of the feeling. When I got there though, I was tired sun-touched and perhaps even just a little scared of idontknowwhat. However, when I asked here for a free place to stay, the official not only got me a spot on the temple but gave me both the most current English and Japanese freestay lists. We also chatted a bit too and he was very warm and friendly.<\/p>\n<p>I know I keep saying how nice Shikoku people are to ohenro but you really feel it. And if you&#8217;ve never done this kind of thing before, it makes a difference and you know you can do it.<\/p>\n<p>The temple was quite something in its heyday but as usually seems to happen, there were fires and now it is no longer quite as huge. However, as you can see it remains quite something.<\/p>\n<p>Wish I had more time to look around this city too.
