It&#8217;s one thing to say you&#8217;ll walk 30+kms in a day but the mileposts give you a very clear idea of what that&#8217;s going to feel like as you&#8217;re doing it. It&#8217;s one thing you can do to start getting ready.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s always other things I&#8217;m still figuring out too. Sunday, I really didn&#8217;t want to do the practice walking but I&#8217;m glad I did. Glad because I got soaked by the rain and learned before I left just how weak my rain layer was for the trip ahead of me. And only glad because I learned that here and not on the trail.<\/p>\n<p>But I woke up to a bit to a bit of inspiration on Sunday. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Amy-Chavez\/e\/B001K7QPOW\">A woman I follow on twitter is touring with her book on RUNNING the Shikoku henro trail. <\/a>I didn&#8217;t even know she had a book on this as I&#8217;m sort of irregular on reading twitter posts lately.
