Not that aren&#8217;t a lot of beautiful places I&#8217;ve been so far but this was probably a favourite.<\/p>\n<p>Not only was it beautiful in its own right but it had a view over the entire, the local castle and the ocean from the pagoda up top of the main hondo and kobo Daishi halls. That&#8217;s unusual as I&#8217;ve seen a few pagodas of course but this one was the first you could go inside.<\/p>\n<p>At the top, I met another henro and he took a picture of me there. He said he&#8217;d email me when he posted it to his blog but I haven&#8217;t had the email yet to check. Will update once I have this.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s one picture of a man tapping a gong. The story is that you tap it drive misfortune away. However, you tap it once for every year old you are.
